“the menopause walks are a wonderful way to chat with like minded ladies, making you feel part of a group where no-one will judge. Getting out in the fresh air in an added bonus”

“joining these walks has inspired and motivated me to do more walking on other days. Thought these are my favourite as I get to meet other like minded ladies who are going through the same struggles. Faye has tapped into something irreplaceable. Support”

“I love these walks a great opportunity to get some gentle exercise and meet like minded women for a chat. This kind of connection and community spirit is to vital at this time of a woman’s life”.

Take a Breather - Move your body - Get outside - Feel like yourself again

We know how easy it is to get stuck behind a desk all day, or in a car rushing from one place to the next, or focus on a list of endless chores.

With even the best intentions, work can just take over, as can responsibilities around the house, life admin, running the kids around to where they need to be, or supporting our parents.

Or it may be that joint or muscle pain/aches are stopping you from wanting to move at all.

You might already love walking, you just would prefer to walk with others.

Our Menopause Walks get women together to walk and talk, feel better, and feel uplifted.

Why Walk With Faye and Sarah?

Faye is a Health and Wellbeing Coach with 12 years of coaching experience.

She has run previously run a Menopause Cafe and supports patients in her day job who are going through perimenopause and menopause, alongside other health challenges including rising cholesterol, high blood pressure, pre-diabetes.

With a good understanding of the challenges women can face during mid-life, an understanding of whole person health, and a passion for supporting women in midlife to keep moving, so that they can continue to do the things they love, Faye is well placed to lead these walks and support the women who join.

Sarah, founder of Mindful and Me mindfulandme.co.uk and writer, shares her reflections on peri-menopause and menopause as she navigates this period of her life, with the aim of helping women feel less alone.

We are delighted by this collaboration which has allowed us to jointly run our membership option.

Faye and Sarah have a shared passion for the power of how a simple walk can help you to feel uplifted, energised, and ok again.

Why walking?

For women in mid life, walking can be one of the most accessible and effective ways to support physical and mental wellbeing.

At a time when many women are balancing demanding careers, caring for children or ageing parents, managing households and carrying the invisible mental load of keeping everything running, finding time and motivation to exercise can feel overwhelming.

Menopausal symptoms such as fatigue, poor sleep, joint aches, anxiety, low mood, hot flushes and reduced confidence can become additional and significant barriers to movement, making even the thought of exercise exhausting.

Walking offers a gentle, achievable, alternative that meets you where you are. As confidence grows, it may lead to other things.

It doesn’t require special equipment, a gym membership or high levels of energy.

The benefits of walking are improved mood, a reduction in stress and anxiety, supportive of heart and bone health, easing stiffness, boosting energy levels and increasing time away from daily demands.

Rather than adding another task to your day, walking can become a chance to clear your mind, reconnect with yourself and others, and reset your day, giving you some much needed space to focus on just you, and be in the moment.
